In the serene neighborhood of Winston Hills, NSW, we proudly present the Winston Hills House, which was completed in 2023. This project involved the demolition of the existing house to make way for a new, innovatively designed dwelling, complete with a driveway and a beautifully landscaped area.

Design Philosophy
Our goal was to create a home that not only embraced natural light in every room but also seamlessly connected the living spaces with the backyard pool and the outdoors. This vision guided our design process, creating a space that is as functional as it is beautiful.
Design Highlights
Multifunctional Spaces: The house is designed to cater to the daily needs of a family while also serving as an ideal space for entertaining guests. The open-plan kitchen and living areas form the heart of the home, fostering interaction and hospitality.
Double-Height Living Area: The centerpiece of the design is the double-height living area, overlooked by a mezzanine. This mezzanine serves as a cozy reading area and a display for the client’s book collection, adding a personal touch to the space.
Form Follows Function: True to this principle, every element of the house is designed with purpose and intention. The layout maximizes the use of space and light, creating a harmonious living environment.
Axis and Focus: The living spaces are thoughtfully aligned along an axis, directing attention to the pool in the backyard. The main entry foyer and staircase facilitate this line of sight, offering stunning views of the open living space and the pool through large, frameless glass openings.
Street Presence: Despite the challenge of a site sloping down from the street, we achieved a striking street frontage. The upper story is crafted with a strong form and clean cutouts for openings, enhancing the house’s presence and enabling street surveillance.
